Escape From Asterisk is a work in progress.

Artist Jim Martin, of Jim Martin Art & Design, is creating the characters and environments of the Prisoner, Action, and Add On cards.

This is a collection of the working artwork that will make up the Prisoner Deck, that brings the world of Escape From Asterisk to life.

Truth

Originating from The Dimension of Vagueness inhabited by beings composed entirely of energy waves, it has no name or appearance. Other life forms know it by various names and see it in various forms. Truth communicates facts and reality to all beings, although its words are often misinterpreted. Truth was locked up in Asterisk for obvious reasons.

Justice

Originating from The Dimension of Vagueness inhabited by beings composed entirely of energy waves, it has no name or appearance. Other life forms know it by various names and see it in various forms. Justice moves all beings with moral principle that determines rightness, although blinds many. Justice was locked up in Asterisk for obvious reasons.

Dave

You know Dave.

Like... Dave.

That guy... you know?

I mean, I’ve totally seen you talking to him... like a million times. No! The other Dave... You know???

Well...you'd know him if you saw him.

Countess Noodles Von Butterworth

Wanda DeKedd's Earth dog, Noodles, was despised and repeatedly kicked by The Ronald. Several misdemeanor "NO!"'s were dismissed by the Groovy Court of Lawtalkers. After the Union was dissolved and Ronald was in power, Noodles was convicted of three counts of felony "Bad Dogitry" and sent to Asterisk.

Nyb Kas

Known as the unquestioned master of the art of Donutmaking, one of the galaxy's most honored vocations, Kas was granted the involuntary internship as Personal Donuteer to Ronald DeKedd. He was later imprisoned for repeatedly refusing, on principle, DeKedd's demands for him to make donuts without holes.

Yogide Uthrow

A beloved teleporting minstrel from the removed mountain tops of planet Entwistle, "Uncle Yogi" sang songs of peace, love, and the sharing of donuts for all people regardless of class. After the coup, he sang songs of protest aganst the greedy aquisition and exploitation of planets by Ronald DeKedd. The Ronald was not a fan.

Wanda Beth DeKedd

As the 3.fourteenth wife of Ronald DeKedd, Wanda worked hard to maintain the appearance befitting her position. She strongly disagreed with his policies towards the planet Earth, the home planet of her beloved canine companion. When he backed a plan by the Alliance of Feline-Americans to destroy all dogs, she betrayed him.

Wadson Newdred

For over a decade, Newdred worked for DeKedd & DeKedds. He was part of the inner circle that was trusted with classified information. Chatting with lower level coworkers on the eve of the D&D's picnic, he casually disclosed Ronald's secret hiding location for hide and seek. Months of planning ruined, he was fired and jailed.

The Jehgi

The Jehgi are a race of 7.2 billion individuals who move rapidly and simultaneously between 7.2 billion parallel dimensions every vigintillionth of a second. At any given time, there is only one Jehgi in each dimension; so, each Jehgi doesn't know that other Jehgi exist. Because of their rapid dimensional shifts, to an outsider, they look like one blur. This really annoyed The Ronald.

Hibs Klicl

Underground comedian, political satirist and activist, Hibs had several bits that mocked the coup that deposed K'Houleshick. He actually had the nerve to jokingly liken the name of Ronald DeKedd to the phrase "dick head". Fans laughed, but The Ronald was not amused. Wanda B. DeKedd and Heath N. Azolh were spared.

Yuia IV

The Order of The Ed was a religion on the planet Mo that was banned by DeKedd for its central sacrament. This was a euphoric experience using a controlled substance known as Deryuibe that often led to subversive and silly thoughts. An Edish priestess, Yuia smuggled the trippy contraband to the faithful.

Krohl Wist

Checahbume is a substance that creates a pleasurable feeling of right-on-ness. Its side effects include addiction and the strong desire to fling oneself naked into the vacuum of space, a practice that has a high mortality rate. DeKedd's Checahbume business was threatened when Wist wrote "This might be a bad idea."

Buthara Mitern

Planet Pez was home to many cotton candy factories owned by DeKedd. The involuntary interns who worked there were forced to labor under unbearable and illegal conditions. Mitern was an engineer of quantum singularity transportation. She was arrested while creating portable wormholes for the factory workers to escape their involuntary obligations.

Gramil en Truknith

The Truknith were a horribly oppressed people on the planet Y-Tayh, forced to carry respiration tanks to literally not breathe the same air as the other life on the planet. Gramil was an activist working to change his planet and gain rights for his people. He also spoke out against the undemocratic dissolve of the Groovy Union of Planets, raising the ire of DeKedd.

Zarec

Vescha

Born to Alluen immigrants, his family worked for very little in the zircon mines on planet Earth (where all good ideas were created and/or monetized), while Ebenezer's Tweezers Inc. profited greatly from their labor. He organized the miners to revolt. Without tweezers, the dental floss harvest Earth was hurt, ending D&D's floss business.

Jannise Galaus

On the moon of Orggh dwelt an arachnid-like race known as the Orggh. They spun vast webs trapping the little secrets hurtling through space that all beings emit. After DeKedd wrecked their moon to benefit his silk interests, Galaus cut all of the webs, releasing DeKedd's darkest secrets to float free for all to know.

Boje

After the fall of her home planet Mif, Boje witnessed the suffering of her friends and family. During the cruel and ticklish interrogation of her sister, she used her telekinetic powers to remove the arms of Maj. Azolh's troops and send them into a low orbit around Mif. Maj. Azolh heard the cries from the torsos of his soldiers and incarcerated Boje.

Juniper

Scuttlebutt

"Free Hugs!" were the last words inexplicably exclaimed from her lips when she was uncooly dragged by Maj. Azolh's awkwardly fidgeting squares from her laid back routine of moseying and loitering. No official reason was given for her arrest, though commenting on the scene a witness said,

"She was just kind of standing there."

The

Reanimated

Corpse of

Henry A. Wallace

Living 1888-1965 E.C. (Earth Chronology), Wallace served as Vice President and Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, Earth. Because of his historically progressive policies, Juniper Scuttlebutt had him undeaded by dubious Alluan magic to become Vice Head Servant of the Union of Groovy Union of Planets.

Deritis

Wombph

For two terms he served the K'houleshick administration as Secretary of Transportation, and Master Chauffer. After DeKedd's coup and his totalitarian rule, Deritis came to lead the K'houleshick Independent Gang, a group of rebels fighting to free the Union from The Donald. He is amongst a number of the K'houle Indie Gang imprisoned at Asterisk.

Shezah

K'houleshick

Shezah K'houleshick was the democratically elected Head Servant of Sentient Beings for the Groovy Union of Planets. The DeKedd & DeKedds' Corporation owned many properties across the galaxy including a branch of the military-exploitative complex. Ronald DeKedd used this to force the Union into submitting to his power. Shezah was incarcerated.

Ronald

DeKedd

For decades, the Groovy Union of Planets hampered The Ronald's accumulation of more wealth with their whiny laws protecting their citizens from exploitation and their planets from explosion. So, with the help of Maj. Azolh, he overthrew the GUP and put himself in charge. He just accidentally locked himself in a cell when he came to see if Wanda knew where he put his dental floss.

Major Heathcliff Nicholas Azolh

Heath Azolh rose quickly in the Planetary Peace Patrol, but was frustrated by the lack of butt kicking. DeKedd contracted with the PPP and convinced Azolh to help overthrow The Union. The Major accidently named and was put in charge of Asterisk to house enemies of DeKedd. He was then himself incarcerated for mercifully giving prisoners forbidden donuts.
